hi, just a warning,

We haven't spoken in a while, but I just got emailed an article online about hpierson.com and felt it necessary to reach out to confirm this article. 

It seems like there's some unfavorable news that could be detrimental. 
Understanding how easily stories can get out of hand and not wanting you to be unprepared, I felt the need to inform you.
